Inner Child

Your friendship helps me relive the childhood beauty I never truly possessed-

I am more a happy child now than I ever could have been in the past.

Back then I was somber and bleak-

Blotted out of this world of wonder by oppressive schooling and cruel compatriots,

But here in the home I love I have you, and you are the best in my life.

I am thankful for all you do and give to me, and I am honored to share the world with you, my beloved.

Thank you-

You made me into the happy child I am today, and I can never- Never thank you quite enough, dear!
