Inner Demons
"Come on, you know you want to..."
The voice eerily chants over and over again.
The only thing that drowns out the voice,
Is her knife going deeper and deeper into my wrist.
Her tears speak volumes that her voice can't.
The demons are bringing her deeper and deeper into the abyss.
Although, she puts on a brave face.
Hiding each and every demon inside.
No one sees that she is in pain.
Once she is alone, the demons are unleashed.
"Cut deeper, its the only way."
She has lost the power to say no.
Then,
one day she has decided its time.
She doesn't speak a single word.
Her mind focusing on whats going to happen.
Then,
out of no where,
someone sits down next to her.
A smile as wide as the Grand Canyon painted across their face.
"Hi, how are you doing?"
Suddenly, her face lifts up and the demons become softer.
Thats all it took.
The blades were thrown away, pills flushed down the toilet.
Thats all it took.
