Inner Demons
You're not there,
I can't see you,
Yet you're all around me.
You have me pinned against the wall.
You're whispering in my ear, "You're so incompetent"
Slowly depriving me of my ability to breath
Choking me out
And having me accept it.
I am helpless.
Everyone thinks I made you up.
They can't feel your presence.
So they don't know when they make you more powerful.
I can't cry out for help,
As you've covered my mouth.
You've consumed me.
I am no longer me.
I am you.
