An Inner Dialogue Between Past Lovers

Why can't I be your friend?

Why can't white and black blend?

Why did I break your heart?

Why did my faith in you fall apart?

Did you ever want to agree?

Were you ever going to succeed?

Could you see me trying?

Could you see me crying?

Was I just not good enough?

Was I just not patient enough?

Why couldn't you wait?

Why were you so late?

I'm sorry I failed you.

I'm sorry I left you.
