Inner Fight
there is a fight inside me
down deep down
where no one can see
as I cover my frown
the bad strikes a punch
while the good tries to duck
the good having to hunch
the bad feeling victorious for having struck
the good saying nice words the good smiles
the bad cowers
finding a different type of fighting style
the draining of his evil powers
The good has won or so you think
the bad fakes it whilst trying to plot
the good jumps with joy making his armour clink
but all the celebration is for nought
the bad jumps up in an unexpected hurry
making the good stare in startled awe
the bad moves faster than light making his shape blurry
thinking he is dreaming now seeing what he saw
wishing it was over I let out a cry
as they run through my body making me squirm
tears in my eyes as I look to the sky
I feel something evil as it washes over me like a germ
I grow the good bigger trying to defeat
my body shakes with a renewed vigor
thinking even more of my happiness and my life so sweet
as it grows bigger and bigger and bigger
I lay on the grass and roll to my side
I beckoned something that was hiding to lay by me trying as I might
it was the evil right there trying to hide
it had come out and was sacred but I touched it and it turned light
as all my pain flashed before my eyes
the evil was gone for good and this was my prize
to live without being hurt
to live to dream to not be pushed in the dirt
I was me and that's what I’ll be for all eternity
