Inner Peace
Flustered, I sit overwhelmed and scared
There's voices in my head, and I don't know how they got there
I inhale desperatly through my nose, hoping that the pain will go
In all my agony, I glance over and see a pen
I start to remember back when I would write as a child about the colors I would dream and I would happily unstitch the seems of my reality
With tears in my eyes, I decide I will try to write down my feelings and hurt inside
A nostalgic feeling rushed over me, a strong feeling of pure release
From my heart to my hand and my hand to the pen
I have remembered how poetry cleanses me of my sins.
