Innocence
An innocent teenage girl
Without a care in the world
Takes a simple wrong turn
Into the hands of the unknown
The flash of fear
A silent shriek
A plea for mercy
From a heartless creep
Shearing pain
In both body and soul
A blood curdling grip
Held behind a rustle of leaves
Innocence broken
Stolen, forever betrayed
The face of a stranger
Will never fade away
The pain of her body
The bruises she wears
Start to slowly fade
But the damage will always remain
Days and weeks go by
She finally feels she will survive
But the wand shows the truth
Of how she is no longer alone
She wonders how life can move inside
A body that feels lifeless
News that would fill a heart will joy
Does nothing more than further destroy her
Denial spreads
Anger hits
What did she do
To deserve a fate such as this
What could she do?
Who could she tell?
For the shame of these events
Has forever muted her tongue
She thinks of her possibilities
But she knows her only way out
Is that barbaric solution
That which will terminate all
The clean white office
Fills her with dread
She tries to hope
That soon it will all end
The deed has been done
The guilt settling inside
The dreaded realization
Of what she has done
The thoughts and feelings buzz inside
Filling empty boy and empty mind
Filling deeply, dark and sticky
The hopelessness felt inside
The wants the needs
The fears the hates
The fuels that feed
The dreaded fate
The unseen scares
The murdered dreams
The life lived and that unlived
Is not one which many know
The suffering, the pain
Comes to a sudden end
When the evil deep inside
Overpowers that will to live
