Innocence

Calm nature, surrounding our diminutive cabin.

The beauty here is more than I could imagine.

The only noises are the families reminiscing

on how lovely their day was.

Night time starts to fall.

The children began to worry that Santa Clause might not hear their call,

in this place so serine and small.

Was Santa Clause ever going to come visit me?

Does it matter that we don’t have a Christmas tree?

Little sleep came to me that night.

For I was worrying that I would wake up with a not so pleasant sight.

After many dreams,

morning finally awakened me.

Santa followed through,

and I never again did I doubt the things he could do.
