Innocence

Where has our innocence gone?

Did it leave when your first smartphone was given to you on a silver platter at the age of 7 and three quarters?

Or was it when an eleven year old had to provide for their family, because dad left 11 years ago,

and mom wont leave the bar for a job?

Where has our innocence gone?

Those few who the world still hasnt taken your innocence from you, cherish that time,

because when you look back, you wont regret anything you will just simply say,

"I didn't know better."

Maybe innocence is ment to be taken from us?

Because we would be too naive to ever make it in the real world.

So perhaps innocence is supposed to be taken from us,

but hopefull not at a young age.
