Innocence

Miami, Florida met California and they fell in love

They had a spark that then went dark, but he was all she could think of

He left back to the blueberry state

Never again to see his mate

She’d sit and wonder under her favorite oak tree

“Maybe he is thinking of me”

She’d love to be with him lost in a meadow

“I’LL LOVE YOU FOREVER!" out he would bellow

Once and for all their love would subdue

And they would never again bid an adieu
