Innocence

Bright summer days

Laughing and playing.

Running and singing,

These were the days.

The innocent ones

Where there were no problems

And the world was ours for the taking.

It's not always that simple

Everything comes at once,

And you don't know what to do or where to go.

The expectations are higher, the stress, everything.

But through it all it works out.

And you are once again laughing and playing

Running and signing

But the world is no longer as innocent as it once was.

For now that is ok.
