Innocence Is Not Ignorance

I need to cry

But my eyes are dry,

Why can't you see I'm dying inside?

I'm fighting to wake

and I'm dying to sleep,

I can't win this battle, I'm just too weak.

I know who I'm fighting,

You just won't listen

And know they are winning,

They've started their killing,

I'm first on their list

and they're coming in hot

But you still don't see that I'm trying to stop

Just give me a word

Anything please

Just give me a rope when i'm down on my knees

Give me a hope or give me a sign

Something so i know I'm not out of my mind,

Please I'm begging,

I need you to notice,

And yet you keep saying

I'm too young to know this.
