Innocence Sonnet

How could you aim to coldly break my heart
My innocence was blackened with my soul
Now from the end I don't know where to start
You shattered me how can I be made whole?

You watched me cry and made me dry my tears
On sheets you filled with blood of helpless lambs
You followed me beyond my greatest fears
Making all love to me feel as a sham

But from the shame my God has set me free
Your grasp is at my fearful throat no more
No longer scared to stand up boldly; me!
This hopeless boat has been led safe to shore

So though you used my being as a toy
My God has now renewed my heart with joy
