Innocense

His little toes wiggle His eyes are clasped shut He dreams of the day That will soon be cut His mamma is worried His mamma is scared The little boy cries “Mamma let me be spared!” The mamma can’t hear him He has yet to be born The mamma thinks And mourns and mourns The daddy is gone And mamma is all alone “But you have me!” the boy cries As true emotions are shown Then mamma leaves for a place that is cold It’s sterile, it’s evil It’s known to be bold The little boy’s spirit Has come and gone Into Heaven he rises To God’s arms he is drawn.

This poem is so sad and made me feel a prick in my eye. It is very touching and remarks something not many people are comfortable speaking about. So thank you for writing this piece.

Becca.
