Innocent Life

A night of fun and lots of faces that gleamed, Everything was perfect or so it seemed. They jumped into the car and drove away, None of them realized they forgot to pray. Laughing and singing, away they went, The car soon filled up with the alcohol scent. Too much booze, and too much wine, The driver crossed the double yellow line. The car swerved and hit another, A child left alone, He just lost his mother. Not knowing what they done, They yelled for help, "Someone dial 9-1-1. An innocent life was the cost, Of a drunk driver whose license was lost. A Life taken by the poor choice made, Now it's time justice is paid. The child once left alone, Is now all grown. He gave into satan and took his own life, 3 days after a drunk driver took his son and wife. It's up to us to stop this circle and make it end, Take the keys of those who've been drinking, Enemy or friend. When I have a son of my own, I don't want him to face this world alone.
