Insane to be Ashamed

To the ones who keep silent when His name is taken in vain. To the ones who stand not for He who endured your pain. That hear jokes which are blasphemous and do nothing about it. That have friends that swear and aren't afraid to shout it. That listen to music that teaches us to sin. Whether it's obvious or subtle, it should never begin. To them that love God but are too afraid to show it. This poem is to tell you, you're insane and you know it. You pray to your Lord every day and every night, Yet you're ashamed to tell others of His strength and His might? You read His Word daily but keep it to yourself. When you should be sharing with all, and not only oneself. You have the answers to everyone's questions and doubts. To end all of their sadness, depression, and pouts. You have the Bible that tells you all that you need. All you have to do now is tell others to read. And for you that are reading this poem of mine. And won't take it to heart, not even one line. I ask you to examine yourself through God's eyes. And tell me that you weren't even slightly surprised. At the truths in this poem that happen to you. That describe you exactly and describe me too. Start standing for God amongst family and friends. And keep defending your faith until your life ends. The meaning of life can be summed up in one phrase: To love God and serve God, for all of your days. When He calls you to heaven your deeds will live on. Will others remember to whom you belong?
