Insanity

Who am I?

What am I?

What have I become?

Angry.

Bitter.

Alone.

The darkness withheld

forcing me to succumb.

Will I get better

through the talks?

Through the pills?

What is this void that I'm struggling to fill?

Give me something

for the pain.

Hear me out,

or drown me in the rain.

Something!

Anything,

to make it stop.

Your ignorance like useless seconds on my clock.

. . .

Tick.

Tock.

When is it time?

When will my mind finally be mine?

Never, ever,

Ever again

Will I ever let

That stupid girl in!

I've cast her out;

Locked the door!

Her nonsense of happiness

will be no more.

Empty.

Dead.

My happiness is shed.

She's gone.

Stop looking back.

I've painted my rear view mirror black.

I?

She?

What are we?

What I've become

clingng to who I use to be.

Cuts on my body

begin to multiply.

I bleed to know that I'm alive.

Can you hear me?

Do you see her?

Can you hear my cries?

Can you even stand

to look us in the eyes?

Can you accept all that I've destroyed myself to be?

. . .

Nothing.
