Insanity

Her heart's racing

     and her chest is heaving.

She just saw him tonight, beautiful as ever, kind, gentle, strong.

She sees him most days

     does he see her

               know who she is

               care for her.

She doesn't really know him, just a few words here and there

Yet, he's on her mind Always.

Will he do something.

Is she waiting in vain.

Will she lose him forever.

It's driving her to

     insanity.

But he's the boy, she rationalizes.

It's up to

     him

to make the first move.

But she's a strong girl,

    just not around

    him.

A weakness overcomes her.

How can he have this power over her

     when they barely talk

It's what she calls

     insanity.
