The Insatiable Monster
I see it again
A glimpse of the red faced monster
Flicks of fury and anger raging in his eyes
As calloused words are spattered across my face
“Dumbass”
“Bitch”
With red marks and bruises
Tenderly and cautiously placed
For the beast to hide his label
And mark his territory
For years the monster remained dormant
Many thought it had even died
But once again the monster has been unleashed
Stronger and completely revived
