Insects

What raises me above the level of insects? I cannot fly and I have no tangible bite or sting, I am not a feared entity to make others run for weapons and take up their arms in the defense of themselves I am what I am and that is not a terror The fear that might be given is hidden for my words lie dormant and undone unmade yet on my tongue I Have No Sting And if I did would I fall dead? Would I lie down silently, not with a bang but a whimper? Would silence stretch and hang over me, my agitations made clear to those around me who BUZZ IN MY EAR Loud like gnats gnawing wings humming Scattering my thoughts into mindless oblivion? Or would I live and hear the retaliation the shouts and cries of angered others My new found words DROWNED OUT Lost in the sea of mindless droning negative words passing lips with less than any true meaning Any true spark these syllables are REPEATED and not original, they are Hive Mind Thoughts And I am Not an Insect.
