The Inside

The conversation at this table is common among many;

"Ugh, I can't believe I just ate all that food. I feel so fat!"

My friends respond with compliments, but I say

"Look inside yourself."

We've been trained to compliment;

We've been trained to think with our eyes.

The mirror only shows the outside, so

Look inside yourself.

An image that is set by media;

An image that we obsess over.

Stop the comparisons and start to really

Look inside yourself.

If I had the power to change one thing

I would take away the "Fat Talk," judgement,

And pressure to "fit" in, and encourage you to

Look inside yourself.
