Inside

ON THE INSIDE

THERE'S NOWHERE TO HIDE

ALL I CAN DO IS STICK TO THE SIDES

IS ANYONE THERE AM I ALONE?

I WISH THEY WOULD COME OUT INSTEAD OF

CASTING STONES

A RAY OF LIGHT COMES TO SURPRISE MY EYES

I SEE ALL THE MONSTERS I HOLD INSIDE

I FEEL THE ANGER DOUBT AND FEAR

I  NOW UNDERSTAND I'M UNWANTED HERE

I CAN SCREAM AND I CAN SHOUT

BUT IN THE END THERE'S NO WAY OUT

THEY KICK ME LAUGH AT ME AND CALL ME NAMES

YET THEY DON'T KNOW THAT THEY ARE THE HARBINGER OF PAIN

THE LIGHT BEGINS TO DISAPPEAR

I SIT IN THE DARK WITH THINGS STILL UNCLEAR
