Inside Fire

Is it in those eyes?

They look at me searchingly

And I feel they find nothing

But not me….

I see you

And then again

You are hard to miss

Your personality draws a crowd

And they come willingly

Because they see you too

Just not the way I see you

The fearlessness of you

Burns something inside of me

But I don’t know what to do

With this fire

I find myself making room for it

And I know I shouldn’t

Yet I move my reason

And I shove my fears away

Because the fire wants

To consume these things

The fire wants to grow
