Inside these eyes

Inside these eyes, there is a story

Inside these eyes, a broken girl sits

Crying in a corner

Not feeling loved or important

Inside these eyes, there is depression

Gateways to the soul that no one understands.

Inside these eyes, there is pain

Pain of a young girl that has been abused and neglected

Pain of being alone

Inside her hands is a knife

One tool that could take it all away right now

As she raises it to her wrists

She thinks of everything she's leaving

She looks in the mirror as the blade cuts across her skin

In her eyes, she sees her life slipping away..

And she finally feels free.

At last
