Insignificant Human

I am an Insignificant Human who looks at the world.

I wonder what will become of us in the years to follow.

I hear the world crying; dying.

I see what no one would want to remember.

I want to change this world.

I am an Insignificant Human who looks at the world.

I pretend that all is not lost; there is hope for us yet.

I feel the flames running rampant in our sorrows.

I touch our friends, long gone from this world.

I despair of our future together.

I cry when the sound of death occupies our being.

I am an Insignificant Human who looks at the world.

I understand what will become of me, but what of them?

I say that I will perish along with this world.

I dream that the stars will point me to a place of rebellion.

I try to see the world through another.

I hope we can find another way, a different way, a secret way.

But we never will.

I am an Insignificant Human who looks at the world.
