Insomnia

Watching the small hand on the clock hit the 3 wondering when my brain will finally shut down

It's like my cerebrum just won't take a break

Don't know if I'm depressed or just going through a phase

But this insomnia is real and really a burden cause it sucks

Sleeping pills and overdosing on Nyquil has become my way of life as of late

Except, the reality of it is that I'm a night owl and insomnia is my best friend

Seeing through the night with these nocturnal visions got me feeling like I'm awake with surgical incisions

Still, I pray at night

Stress was heavy; it was schoolwork, it was homework, it was work work, it was anxiety, it was overthinking

Constantly staring at these four walls thinking my sanity away
