Insomnia

I close my self in when I try to sleep

I keep the lights on to keep away the things that creep

I stay awake because I'm still scared

What's coming for me?

I don't know, but I'm not prepared

Why do I let this paranoia get a hold of me?

I can't sleep until I'm too tired to see

The circles under my eyes get darker every day

When will I get better? No one can ever say

I fight the demons in my own mind

Always afraid of what I may find

What do I do? Do I call a priest?

Maybe I need a shrink at the very least

The nightmares are starting up again

What was it this time? What could it have been?
