Insomnia

The restlessness is uncanny

Thoughts occupy the mind

Memories brought forth in a flurry

If only one could leave them behind

Worries, anxieties, insecurities

The mind knows not why it torments itself

The body lies unmoving, unable to feel

Sinister figures visit each night

Occupying the mind once more

Sleep, wish I could remember how
