An Insomniac's Worry

Sweet sleep

come to me

save me from my mind

grace me with your sweet calmness.

The horrors of the human race

spin 'round, filling my head with dread.

So much greed

So much grief

So many miserable things

Does evil in fact out weight good?

How can this be?

We have been promised love.

From the days we are young

we are told it exists,

however fading.

Those lucky enough to be blessed by loves charms

be happy

while you can

for it is this mysterious thing, love

and the entropy of the world

that keeps me from,

my sleep
