Inspiration

Inspiration—what makes us be our best selves;

you ask me what Inspires me

what gets me on my feet;

What gets me on my feet, I tell you, is hope—

hope for a brighter future—

for all not just for some and also for me—

Hope that the air will be clean,

the birds will bountifully sing,

that I will get to hear them;

the possibility of an anti Silent Spring.

These are the things that Inspire me—

that get me on my feet—

to live for the birds, to fight for the trees.
