Inspiration

Her tiny feet dance around me

while she looks at me with glee.

I can see the sparkle in her eyes

while she munches on McDonald's fries.

The 5-year-old that has my heart.

My little neice. My counterpart.

When I am sad, I think of her.

And then my motivation spurs.

I know that one day, she'll lead a nation.

My Evelyn. My inspiration.
