Inspiration

I sit under the familiar tree,

the tranquil enviornment so welcoming

I am sure many have stopped to admire.

While many sit here to read a book,

and others sit to have a place to themselves,

I sit to admire.

I watch as the fall breeze blows leaves

of orange and red colors.

I watch as the water slowly approaches

then recedes back into from where it came.

I even listen sometimes.

I often listen to the small chirps of small birds,

the rustling of a cool breeze,

and sometimes, on especially calm days,

I can hear the trees ever so slightly breathe.

While many come to this familiar tree for various reasons,

I come to be inspired.

I take in all that can be experienced under this tree,

and take inspiration from the most beautiful canvas

that can never quite be contained

through word or art.
