Inspiration

Sitting here with a pencil in hand

My mind has sunk deep in quicksand

My brain isn’t working

It seems to be quitting

What I need is…

Inspiration, a revelation,

I need something or someone

A friend or relation

To shed some light on my situation

I’m in the dark, I can’t think

My thoughts are virtually on the brink

Nothing’s coming to my pen,

Even now, even then,

What I need is…

Inspiration, a revelation,

I need something or someone

A friend or relation

To shed some light on my situation

I think I found my inspiration

In the fact that I’m God’s creation

He gave His life on the cross

And rose again to end chaos

I know now that I found my…

Inspiration, my revelation,

He is that Someone

My friend and relation

He shed His light on my situation.
