Inspiration

A dark-skined man,

Watter for the crops.

A non-english speaking woman,

Hashbrowns for the stores.

Centuries of work

Piled on their back.

A young teen in school

Works intellectually in class.

Hopes to become a Doctor,

And never hurt her back.

The only thing she works for

Is for a better future.

Taking advantage of everything

That is given to her.

Opportunites are never waisted.

Dreams are fulfilled.

Making each generation

Better and better each year.

Their name is heard more often.

They make everyone proud.

They have a better life,

Never working until the sun is down.

From sunrise to sunset,

Their ancestors worked.

But THEY work when they like,

Doing what they love,

Enjoying it everyday...

More and more.

They have new experiences.

Their family is growing.

More and more members are reaching their dreams,

And it keeps on going.

They are an inspiration to others.

They make their people proud.

"I'm PROUD to call you my son."

That is what they hope to hear.

Learning, Teaching, Discovering...

That's what life's all about.

Moving on from your struggles,

Learning from your mistakes,

Never EVER forgetting,

Where your family began.

From the first day,

They stepped on this land.
