Inspiration
My face is calm,
But my eyes scream love me.
All I've ever wanted was your attention,
Your affection.
You are my inspiration,
The reason I create.
Your presence renders me mad
And deaf
And blind.
My fingers curling in
Like empty tubes of paint,
Shades of blue and brilliant purples,
Knuckles white hot.
I see your face in every brush stroke,
Paint clinging to canvas
The way your scent lingers on my clothing,
On my bed sheets,
In the hallway.
Love me
The way an artist loves his paint brush.
Let me be your inspiration,
Your muse,
The same way you are mine.
