Inspiration in everything
the sound of the instruments pushing you forward
the words expressed as a story through their movements
lights shine, smile bright, crowd goes wild
maybe it's the angelic tone of their voice
or how they flow as graceful as rivers
or the mood set by their second skin
maybe it's the created reality of the props that make one feel as if they are in another world
though your body may remain in this one
a rush of adrenaline giving chills and goosebumps
the sound of the rustling leaves making you stand still
an illusion of fantasy playing in the dancing dappled sunlight
lights shine, smile soft, wind blows calm
maybe it's the angelic tone of the chirps
or the rhythmic gurgle of a nearby stream
or maybe it's the fresh dirt smell from a light shower
maybe it's the warm feeling of watching the young explore the world for the first time
while you've been here for years
a filling sensation of peace leaving nothing but pure serenity
the sound of sirens making your heart race
a scene of the news cutting through a cartoon on for the kids
lights shine, smile down, anxiety takes over
maybe it's the ring of the bullets shot through the air
or the fear that the bullet's home is someone sharing your colored skin
or the rage at the audacity of the shooters while the children are out playing
maybe it's the tiredness of your drunk relatives running out to join them
see there's more than one way to start a fire,
don't always need dry wood,
use your voice as the foam and water
push awareness higher,
or simply get your emotions understood
anything could be a reason
