The Inspiration of Language

As I walk through my days,

There is one thing that always stays

In my mind and in my heart:

It’s the value that Language can impart.

Whether from the North, South, East, or West,

Language in essence will pass any test.

For Language shows the immense differences in us all,

But, in reality, those differences are small.

Language, instead, shows how we are the same

And inspires me to continue to remain

A firm believer in the power of love:

The belief that can be delicate as a dove.

For although some through Language do seek,

To degrade or demean or call others weak,

For me, Language inspires me to be strong

And to fight for equality and compassion through Language’s song.
