Inspire to Aspire

I have no connections, no well known name

Like the Kennedys or the Clintons or the Bushes have

But I don't plan to be a nobody, I have a claim to fame

I have something I live for, something I strive for

I want to be a writer, the best there can be

It's not really out of choice, it's almost been forced

I just can't live without writing, it's a part of me

Without this outlet, my thoughts are suffocating

I just have too many ideas running around my brain

Alternate worlds that find life in words

Writing also helps me deal with certain kinds of pain

Sometimes I have bursting emotions I can't just explain away

But writing's not an individual's arts as some have thought

Writing should be universal, affecting everyone

I write because I don't want my life to be for naught

I want to change the world—inspire others to aspire
