Inspired to Change My Jealous Heart

Green never really looked good on me

Always said it's never really been about jealously

To share is precious to someone like me

And I stood by that almost religiously

It's old fashioned mixed with narrow-minded

I want to re-wire this brain of mine

Find bliss and contentness while being blinded

But my soul could never find the ability to redefine

My mind is not good when it comes to anger

Respect is what you always gave me

I watch your faces everytime you interacted

But all I imagined was everything physically

This isn't easy for me

Because you've showed me every reason not to doubt

I just need you to understand and see

That I'm pouring my every bit of heart out

You deserve all my love without conditions

I need to apologize for my behavior

And it's not fair that this has been my exception

Knowing you will stand by me in all my failures

These ideas of mine are selfish

Because who am I to judge with something I've done

I refuse to be helpless

Promise to never wear green next to the man I love.
