Growing up education was of great importance

I always had to have the best academic performance

The most inspiring people I know 

Always with me where I go

My mom and dad

didn't have the opportunities I had

They came from another country

One across the sea

With so many hardships

they still made it through regardless

I, soon to be first generation

Am proud to be in this nation

With many to make proud

My achievements sang loud

Being inspired with many to inspire

Success is what I require
