The Inspired Painter

Paragraphs from my favorite books dance off the page

They dance up my arm and into my head 

Right into my brain waves

There they become the images and inspiration I crave

And beg me to paint their picture on to a page

Lyrics and Instruments of songs play on repeat

In the record player in my head all night long

They spin their symphonies into imageries

Inspired once more, a picture I paint of their song  

Inside my head I travel the world 

Inspired by all that I see

The beautiful mountains of Norway 

The vast Carribean sea

Although I cannot be there 

I am inspired by all of life's simple beauties 

My paintbrush dances across the canvas once more

And my heart begins to soar
