Inspired by You..

Sitting by my lonesome when there's nothing to do, I grab my pen and write poems about you. Sitting and thinking: I want you back in my life, You've inspired my thoughts and emotions allowing me to write. I reflect on the great times we've shared, So I express them through the words I bear. Sometimes I may cry or crumble the paper to throw it against the wall. Then get up from my bed to mope the halls. Seeing pictures of you throughout the house reminds me of the phenomenal woman you were: Loving, caring, intelligent& beautiful. You were always there to help me conquer my fears, With Your I LOVE YOU’s, And saying that you’ll always be there. Always encouraging me to do my best, Assuring that I'll become the doctor at your bed rest. The emptiness I'm feeling now is truly getting the best of me. People say time heals wounds but that doesn't seem to be. Although I may be slightly incomplete, You’ll always be in my heart and that's what keeps me on my feet.

I was reminiscing about my Grandmother as I wrote this poem, she has been a great contribution to my poetry.
