Generic as it seems

What inspires me isn't sports teams, 

It's not great discoveries

Or super famous celebrities; 

It isn’t a social media feed

Or planting a new seed

My inspiration isn't from children learning a new thing

Or listening to people sing

What inspires me is people in general

That we're intellectual

Yet have sentiment and emotion

Helping each other through all types of commotion

Encouraging all types of adversities

And appreciating diversities

Doing the most to be our bests

Always making progress

Our world isn’t perfect and neither are we

And that’s okay, it doesn’t have to be

But what inspires me the most

Is that we all gather close

When misfortune and evil run wild

And tame the bad that’s compiled

With the combination of people’s trust and hope 

All adapts and copes

So the frivolous things and parts

Don’t compare to the brains and hearts

Of all of thee

That overall inspire me
