Instructions
Give up Yahweh. Stop thinking
That everything happens for a reason,
That you’ll be rewarded for the good.
Stop wondering
If you’ll be punished for the bad.
In fact,
Give up good and bad,
Mere objective perceptions.
Give up fairness,
Give up justice,
Give up religion,
Give up the idea of holiness,
Then give up guilt.
Be bad and don’t apologize.
Be bad and be accountable,
But guiltless.
Be good and expect
No greater reward
Than being, doing, feeling.
Give up living for a utopian, far-off future,
Free of guarantee-
And take up living for living:
Realize,
There needn’t be anything else.
