Instructions For My Destruction

Instructions for my destruction:

Look at my heart

See all the scars

See who I truly am

Peer into my soul

Shattered and broken

See how I’m constantly shifting

Into someone I’ll never truly know

Then run far away

Never to return

For all that you knew

You never learned

Who I truly was

That autumn day

When the leaves were falling down

And everything was falling out of place

But still  I pulled back the veil

And you had sworn to never tell

The truth of my uttermost secret

But you ran far away

Cuz you never meant to stay

You told a pretty lie

With those traitorous lips

Sang a pretty song

But when it really mattered

You jumped ship

And I you left me shattered

I’m still falling apart

Never be fully healed

Now I end the story before it can really start

Because the scars run too deep

The cuts bled too much

I guess sorry

Just wasn’t enought

And now all I know

Is to run away from

All who I  love
