Intelligence

When Was the last time we had a pep rally for brains Instead of bronze? When Was the last time we were praised for trying something new Instead of taking the well worn route Out cheerleading and football? Why Do you tells us to try our hardest to ask for help Only to be turned down In the precense of varsity? Why Do you think we all learn the same way? Act the same way? Live the same way? Value the same thing? Like sports Instead of intellect Rallies Instead of study hall Cliques Instead of unity Codes and strict rules and regulation confined to one spot Expected to learn With no prompt Instead of freedom liberty Experience outside the school building and time to create ourselves. I am the next generation and I say You people Have hurt more than helped In my education And future Inside society Because youve trained us to feel confined limited forced and release us reminding us to use What we never learned.
