Another good intention

Leaves me sinking in the sand

It’s not quite good enough

Yet here you are holding my hand

Lost in love, ring for ring

My hopes and dreams 

have let you in

And now they’re yours…

For the taking…

All that was can be forgotten

While wrapped around your finger

My soul has dissipated

And here we are

All but two footprints in the sand

Waiting for that ocean breeze

That gust of wind that will take me in
