Internal Ache
(poems go here) Every tear, from every year
Are all from you my dear
Every feeling of hatred sprouted from everything you said
Then you would ask
Why I wear an emotional mask
But you will never understand
Because all you ever did was pretend
You were never who you were supposed to be
And you never really accepted me for me
You always criticized
But not once stood by my side
You threw my weaknesses in my face
Then would ask for a warm embrace
You destroyed my entire world
But never had the time to love your little girl
You took away my every happiness
And made my heart a mess
You crushed my every dream
And made my soul scream
You were supposed to be my mother and provider,
And you were neither
You were the one person I was supposed to be able to believe
And all you ever did was make me grieve
And then you’d wonder why I never say I love you,
Well I’m telling you now, it’s because I only say things that are true
