Internal Struggle

The fire burns within, unquenchable in thirst.

Sin and hunger that became us first.

The serpent and woman could not comprehend,

The painful, brutal, demoralizing end.

Consequences would forever, alter the race,

Sending us onto a damned eternal face.

Eyes of brimstone, breath of flame,

Bring us an unbearable eternity of shame.

Only one could save us, bring us to grace,

If only we turned onto his glorious face.

The sinful  nature combats, demanding control,

Worldly desires and wants come with a toll.

Only if we give up, surrender our lives,

To the one cares and lets us survive.

Only then can we be saved and be reedemed,

As the angles of heaven, above have beamed,

"The Lost is found through the Lamb of God!

Praise and glory be unto our God!"

Struggles continue deep within my heart.

But with Christ, ne'er be we apart.
