Interracial

It must start with the eyes,

Never judging by color of face.

That would lead to tragic goodbyes,

Keep colors out of mind to stay in grace.

 

She would be the part of my writing,

That will shake up the playwright scene.

The only reason the world is not frightening,

Her heart and soul is full of peace and serene.

 

She may appear dark to the world,

Though she is the light that I yearn.

I may seem lighter by the face, but behold!

It does not matter from eyes or face, we must learn,

All bodies are beautiful to hold, love, and know

I hold her darkened hand as a message we must show.
